Alek Vernitsky

Chief Executive Officer

Alek is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the company. Immediately prior to founding GetGoing ™ he was a consultant with Bain & Co. in New York, where he developed growth strategies for companies in consumer products and retail industries. Prior to Bain, Alek led a team that successfully designed, implemented, and marketed a cloud-based human resources technology platform that is used by many of the Fortune 500 companies. He also held a number of senior management positions at Gap, Inc., where he worked on the company's expansion into new markets in Europe and Asia.

Alek holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley. An avid traveler, Alek is a member of the Board of Directors of Youth Hostelling International.

Alek is responsible for GetGoing™ operations, partner development, finance, administration, and legal & compliance functions. Prior to co-founding GetGoing™, he was an attorney with Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP, a prominent international law firm. Before joining D&L, he was an economics and finance consultant with Charles River Associates.

Alek holds a J.D. from the University of Southern California and a B.A. in economics from the University of California, Berkeley.

Ilya Gluhovsky

Ilya is an expert in developing and running large-scale highly available web infrastructure including platform, analytics, relevance, personalization, and marketplace design. Immediately prior to founding GetGoing™ he was Chief Scientist at Ancestry.com, where he was responsible for strategic data solutions and overall data infrastructure for search relevance and ranking, record linkage, personalization, and marketing analytics. Previous positions included Chief Engineer at Digg, CTO of Lifecycle Marketing at Sun Microsystems, Principal Engineer at Yahoo! and a scientist at IBM T. J. Watson Research Center and Sun Microsystems Research Laboratories.

Ilya is passionate about technology, numbers, and web products. He holds a Ph.D. in Statistics from Stanford.

Eli Rosenberg

Eli is passionate about developing products that combine complex technology with simple and intuitive user experience. He previously co-founded a technology startup where he led all things product, developing and building an online investment research platform for individual investors. Prior to that, he was a Senior Engineer at Illumina, where he led the development of revolutionary DNA sequencing products.

Eli has traveled all over the world, but never liked the ticket booking process, or the price he had to pay to go on vacation. He is changing that at GetGoing. Eli is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. in Mathematics.

Tony D'Astolfo

Tony D'Astolfo is a 30-year travel industry veteran and is one of the leading experts on corporate travel. Until recently, he held positions of VP, Worldwide Sales and SVP, Travel Services at Rearden Commerce. He was also an SVP, Sales and Consulting at Sabre Holdings, where he ran GetThere, Sabre's online business-to-business e-commerce unit. Tony led GetThere's penetration into more than 50% of Fortune 200 companies. He is a graduate of Bernard M. Baruch College in New York City, with a BA in Marketing and Management.

Jim Davidson

Jim Davidson

Jim Davidson is the President and CEO of Farelogix, a leading provider of distribution technology and services for the travel industry. He is an industry thought leader named as one of the Top 25 Most Influential Industry Executives in Travel Distribution by Business Travel News. Prior to Farelogix, Jim was president and CEO of NTE, an internet-based supply chain technology company, and president and CEO of Amadeus Global Travel, North America, among other positions.

Evan Konwiser

Evan Konwiser

Evan Konwiser is the co-founder of FlightCaster, which was started to provide better tools for travelers using advanced technology and was acquired by Next Jump in December 2010. At FlightCaster, Evan was responsible for business development, product strategy, team development, public relations, marketing and administration. Before that, Evan was a consultant at Bain & Company. He is an industry blogger and speaker on travel topics, and is a recipient of PhoCusWright's first ever Young Leadership Award. Evan holds a BA from Dartmouth College and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business.

Al Lenza

Al Lenza, CEO of The Lenza Group, LLC, has been a travel distribution and e-commerce industry leader for over 30 years, and was repeatedly named as one of the Top 25 Most Influential Industry Executives in Travel Distribution by Business Travel News. Al served as Vice President, Distribution and E-Commerce at Northwest Airlines, and before that as Vice-President at Continental Airlines. He has also served on the Boards of Directors and Advisory Boards for Orbitz, Kayak, Hotwire, Worldspan, and the Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC), and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Farelogix. Al holds a Masters in Public Administration from Florida International University and a Bachelors in Political Science from the University of Miami.

Gary Parker

Gary Parker

Gary Parker is a seasoned airline revenue management expert with 26+ years of experience. He is currently the President of the Airline Revenue Management Training Group, where he focuses on providing training, consulting, and systems improvement expertise to airline executives. He is the author and instructor of the industry standard IATA revenue management training courses. Gary holds a B.Comm in Marketing from Concordia University.

Marc Rosenberg

Marc Rosenberg

Marc Rosenberg, the President of Marsalyn Creative Inc., has retired as Air Canada’s VP of Sales and Distribution. He has previously held numerous key positions in the airline distribution industry, including President, CEO, and Chairman of the Board of Galileo Canada, Chairman and CEO of Air Canada Vacations, and member of the Board of Directors of the Airline Reporting Corporation (ARC). Marc currently works with multiple airlines around the world on distribution strategy, GDS negotiations, channel sales management, new travel software development and strategic business plans. Marc holds a Bachelors from the University of Toronto.

Jim Young is a travel industry veteran with two decades of experience in marketing, strategy and commercial operations for airlines, hospitality, and travel technology firms worldwide. He is currently the Executive Director at Open Axis Group. Jim previously held positions of VP of Distribution, Sales and Marketing at Frontier Airlines, SVP of Global Distribution at InterContinental Hotels Group, and Managing Director of Distribution Planning at Continental Airlines, where he was involved in the founding of Orbitz and the development of Hotwire. He was repeatedly named as one of the Top 25 Most Influential Industry Executives in Travel Distribution by Business Travel News. Jim holds a degree in Engineering from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.
