As the GetGoing brand expands under the BCD Travel umbrella, we wanted to get an idea what’s behind the brand and how it differs from other SME solutions. We sat down with Jeremy Bos, Creative Commercial Marketing Director at BCD Travel to get some answers.

Jeremy: GetGoing was designed with small and medium-sized businesses in mind to simplify and automate business travel and expense management. The idea was to offer the same quality service that you get from a top travel brand with decades of experience, but with a simplified approach tailored to meet the needs of SMEs. 

While BCD Travel’s other offerings cater to large enterprises with more complex travel needs, GetGoing is all about simplicity — book trips, manage expenses, real-time reporting, and ensure policy compliance on one easy-to-use platform. The platform also allows you to ensure traveler safety and provides dedicated 24/7 support from travel experts when needed.

Jeremy: The vision was to give SMEs the same high-quality travel services that large corporations enjoy, but in a more streamlined and budget-conscious way. We noticed that many smaller businesses weren’t able to tap into the same savings and efficiencies that larger companies can take advantage of through corporate travel programs. 

With BCD Travel’s experience and resources behind us, we knew we could fill that gap by offering a solution that catered specifically to SMEs. GetGoing makes business travel simpler, more affordable, and perfectly aligned with their unique needs while leveraging the expertise that BCD Travel has developed over decades.

Jeremy: The major difference is the BCD Travel connection. Many platforms claim to offer travel solutions for SMEs, but they often lack the global reach, buying power, and 24/7 support that BCD Travel provides. GetGoing gives SMEs access to that expertise and network, but without the complexity or cost of larger corporate programs. It’s about striking the right balance—offering the same benefits big companies enjoy, like robust policy compliance tools, travel safety features, and expert support, but in a way that’s tailor-made for smaller businesses.

Jeremy: We seek to strike a balance by focusing on how GetGoing and BCD Travel complement each other. GetGoing is designed to be more streamlined and agile for SMEs, but it still shares the same core values as BCD Travel—excellent service, 24/7 support, innovation and being a reliable business travel partner. We made sure to give GetGoing its own look and feel, with more relaxed and friendly branding—using organic shapes, different colors, and a casual tone—while still keeping that strong connection to BCD Travel’s commitment to service excellence. So, GetGoing has its own brand identity, but it benefits from being part of the bigger BCD family with years of experience in the corporate travel industry.

Jeremy: Technology is the backbone of GetGoing. We’ve built a platform that integrates BCD Travel’s powerful tech infrastructure but tailored it for SMEs by making it simple and intuitive. From booking to expense management, the entire process is integrated and streamlined so that small businesses can manage their travel needs efficiently, without any of the complexities large enterprises might require. It’s about leveraging BCD’s innovations—like travel policy automation, safety tools, and real-time expense tracking—and offering them in a way that’s easy to use and accessible.

Jeremy: One of the big takeaways was just how diverse the SME market really is. Small businesses come in all shapes and sizes, so having flexibility in our solution was essential.
